I am over the moon to formally announce my collaboration with the most wonderful vendor-friend, Cara of South Stems.
This has been a long time coming. About a year ago, Cara & I met up for lunch at a local favorite, Trouble Brewing, to chat about becoming business owners. I wanted to hear about what pushed her to pursue becoming a florist & opening up South Stems. I also wanted to hear what her biggest dreams were for her business. She talked about wanting to re-invent funeral florals & figure out a floral subscription for locals. She's full of ideas & creativity. It's so awesome to see how she's killing it in her space a short time after that lunch. She's a networking genius & has vendor collaborations for holiday floral, partners with wedding vendors in the area, & is busy dreaming her biggest dreams for South Stems.
If she wasn't doing enough already, Ian & I hired her to make our June wedding come to life with colorful florals. So, naturally, Cara & I met for lunch to chat about the wedding flowers, but that was one of the furtherest things from my mind (IYKYK). Instead, I wanted to talk to her about working together to spice up some park minis I had in mind. Cara was 1,000% game & really excited. All of the planning ensued from there.
How did you decide on the location?
We both live on West High Street in Haddon Heights & have a passion of bringing more business & eyes to our small town. If you're not familiar with the area, Haddon Heights has a beautiful walking trail with a creek & woods surrounding it. There are so many locations to choose from. First thing was first: we needed to take a walk through the park & scout locations. So we did!
Cara is itching to create flower garland. The inspiration photographs she showed me were incredible. Again, her creativity & use of colors blows me away. Genius, I say! After snapping a few shots around the trail, we landed at our final spot - an old wall left over from when the park used to be a lake. This would provide a neutral backdrop that would allow the flowers to "pop"!

Each mini session includes:
15 min pre-session phone call with Helen
Floral installation by South Stems
30 min photography session
An online viewing gallery
4x4 10-spread linen album
Digital downloads of any image included in album
Discount code from South Stems to use on future flower orders
How do I secure my mini session?
The first step to securing your spot is filling out the form below! That will put you into my system. After I receive your form & have a chance to review it, I will reach out to schedule a 15 min inquiry phone call. During this call, you get to tell me all about your family & each individual personality. You'll also hear about how I like to run my mini sessions, my photography style, why I include albums in every package, & the general timeline of your package. If we agree to move forward together, I will send you a contract & require a 25% deposit in the form of a check. Your session will be confirmed once I receive both the signed contract & check for the 25% deposit.
How do I view my photographs from my mini session?
About 3 weeks after our time together in Haddon Lake Park, you'll receive an email from me with your online gallery. You'll be able to view all of editing photographs online & share on social media. You will be asked to select your favorite 30-40 photographs for me to use to make your album. When that list is created, I will take those specific images & design your 4x4 album. Once you approve your album & I place your album order, you will receive the digital downloads of the images included in your album to be able to print while you wait for your album to arrive in the mail!
