September started off with a BANG!
If you had told me a year ago that I would get the opportunity to photograph a surprise proposal and that Ian (my fiance) would be my very enthusiastic videographer, I wouldn't have believed you. It's incredible to see how much progress my little hobby turned full-time profession has made in a just over 1 year.
Shawn reached out this summer with the hope of photographing his proposal to his long-time girlfriend, Kelly. They actually met back in grade school & reconnected after college when they both moved back to their home town. Now 6 years later, Shawn was ready to pop the ultimate question, "Will you marry me?".
As Shawn & Kelly approached our location my heart was pounding & my hands were a bit shaky. Ian whispered, "Here they come!". Poised & ready, Ian rolled video & I calming walked down the stairs trying to close the distance. Camera locked & loaded, I started rapid firing photographs.
In one perfect motion, Shawn reached into his briefcase "looking for his forgotten wallet", dropped to one knee, & pulled out the ring box. The next thing I heard was Kelly's reaction.
It was the sweetest thing ever. She did not believe it was happening! She said yes & we got to hang out to capture that after proposal glow. Peep their pictures below.
