This spring, I had the joy of photographing ten incredible families during my annual Tulip Festival Mini Sessions at Dalton Farms—and it was everything I hoped it would be. With nearly a million tulips in bloom, perfect weather, and endless smiles, the day felt like a true celebration of the season.
Family Joy Among the Tulips
From the moment the first family arrived, the energy was full of love and excitement. The sun was shining, the tulips were showing off in full color, and each session was a little slice of springtime magic. We posed among rows of blooms, shared giggles, held hands, and soaked in that warm, golden light.
This year’s minis weren’t just about capturing updated portraits—they were about freezing little moments of connection and joy that pass so quickly in real life. Every frame from the day feels like a love letter to spring, to family, and to the beauty of New Jersey in bloom.
Why I Love Dalton Farms
Dalton Farms is one of my favorite locations to host spring sessions, and this year reminded me why. Beyond the breathtaking backdrop of tulips and daffodils, the farm offered a full day of adventure. Families explored the low ropes course, trike tracks, and giant hay bale slide. Kids fed animals, picked flowers, and enjoyed paddle boats while the adults relaxed with food trucks and live music in the beer and wine garden.
Many families stayed after their session to make a full day of it—turning a quick photo moment into a lasting memory. It’s always such a gift to watch families make the most of their time together in such a special place.

Galleries for all 10 families went out 2 weeks after their sessions! It’s been such a pleasure editing these images and reliving the warmth and joy from that day. Seeing the love, laughter, and genuine connection shine through in each photo reminds me why I do what I do.
